A Taste of the Arts - Fundraiser 2008

Come join us at the Bell Arts Factory on Saturday, September 13th when our nonprofit organization puts on "A Taste of the Arts," a fund-raising event from 3:00 to 9:00 p.m.

This wonderful day will showcase our resident studio artists, Jarocho music by Conjunto Zacamandu, a dance demonstration by our own "Ballet Folklorico - Bell Arts" dance group who has been practicing in the Community Room for the past year or so, some rockin' rhythm and blues dance music by The Convertibles (the band who played during the Tortilla Flats Mural dedication ceremony - shown above) and a great selection of delicious food contributed by local restaurants.

So far we have generous participation by Aloha Steakhouse, Savory Cafe & Bakery, Cajun Kitchen Cafe, Jimmy's Slice, Anacapa Brewery, Nature's Grill, Crowne Plaza, and Evita's. There will be a delicious selection of gourmet treats! We will be having a no-host bar with nonalcoholic and adult beverages available for purchase.

All proceeds from the day will help to finance our free youth art classes, Community Room activities, and Tool Room Gallery exhibitions.

Tickets will be $10 per person, a modest amount when you consider that you get food, music, dancing, and art! Come and meet the people who make up Bell Arts Factory -- the artists, the dancers, the poets, the Capoeira athletes. Everyone will be pulling together to support our mission of providing such activities as poetry readings, dance and movement classes, free youth art programs, and artist exhibitions that will help educate and share Arts experiences.
